LBI Bulkhead Repairs and Servicing is a referral service rather than a home improvement contractor. We put homeowners in touch with registered local crews; we do not carry out, manage, or guarantee any work.

We're operated by Swell Ventures LLC. We started this because finding a trustworthy bulkhead or marine crew on Barnegat Bay is genuinely hard: the work is specialised, the permitting is its own maze, and a waterfront owner staring at a leaning wall rarely knows whether they're looking at a few-thousand-dollar tie-back or a full replacement. We do one thing — connect you with registered local marine crews who do the work — and we try to do it honestly.

Where we work

We cover 32 towns across LBI & Southern Ocean County, NJ — the sheltered lagoon and canal communities, the open bayfront, and Long Beach Island. Each fails differently at the waterline, which is why our service-area pages talk about canal versus open bay, exposure, and permitting town by town rather than in one generic pitch.

How we vet the crews

Before any contractor receives a referral from us, we confirm their New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor registration is active with the Division of Consumer Affairs, and we record the date we checked. Insurance is not part of that check, and nothing on this site should be read as confirming that any contractor carries liability cover. Because this is waterfront work, we also look for relevant NJDEP waterfront development, CAFRA, and tidelands permitting experience. How we're paid

Contractors pay us for job referrals. Homeowners never pay us anything, and we take no part of what you pay a contractor. That's worth knowing so you can weigh what we say accordingly: we have an interest in you contacting a contractor, and no interest in which one you choose or whether you hire them at all.
